Soil Survey Horizons - New Opportunity for Reduced Price on Society/Association Group Subscriptions (posted 11/26/07)

A letter was recently sent to the official contact of all USCSSA Soil Societies/Associations on the need for soil scientists to help support Soil Survey Horizons (SSH). Those organizations who wish to purchase SSH for their members as part of their local membership fee can take advantage of a special 10% group discount (more).

Certification of Soil Scientists in Georgia (posted 06/13/07)

Congratulations to Georgia for successfully getting a bill passed on certification of soil scientists. This bill – SB226 was signed by the Governor (more).

Update on the Smithsonian Soils Exhibit

2008 Opening Preview at the ASA-CSSA-SSSA Annual Meetings in New Orleans. Information provided by Paul G. Kamps, Development Officer, Soil Science Society of America.

Dig It! The Secrets of Soil -- Preview of soils exhibit to be held in New Orleans on November 7.  Place the Smithsonian Soils Exhibit: 2008 Opening Preview at the ASA-CSSA-SSSA Annual Meetings in New Orleans on your must-attend event list, Nov. 7, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Convention Center, Room 230. The 5,000 square foot exhibit on soils will open in July, 2008, at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC.
